A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"

Hey that was really nice lol. Thank you.  Heart

I think you're really awesome as well. Down to earth and says it like it is.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I echo the sentiment but think we could use the clones to better advantage -- like infiltrating all of the churches with them. Christians wouldn't be half as damned annoying if a majority of them were like CL.

They mostly are! We just aren't normally the type to join atheist forums. I just have way too much time on my hands lol.

But thank you.  Heart

Drich's wife could make a small fortune by writing a book on coping mechanisms. Unfortunately, Drich would just credit Jesus with the windfall.

Well she did say he's a lot more sensitive in real life. I can believe that. Online anonymity can do funny things sometimes.

Given his AF persona, that could run the gamut from 'he's a great guy in real life' to 'he's merely a sociopath'.

But she seems sweet, so I'll give him the underserved benefit of the doubt for now.

If however you want to keep trying to know down my points, then I will gladly take the time to show you where and how you are wrong. eventually you will be forced to turn on the light and see things as I show them to you.

Actually, I do my best to ignore you, but every once in a while you say something so stupid that I feel compelled to respond.  After these last few charades, I've been reminded why I was ignoring you in the first place.  And it's not just because the combination of your arrogance and ignorance that causes you to spew horrible, nonsensical bullshit.  It's mainly because you're incapable of absorbing information that contradicts your own view.  You accuse everyone else of being closed-minded, but your ego is so fragile that you are unable to recognize when you've been proven wrong.  In fact, your ego is so weak that you remind me of a child. A petulant, narcissistic child.

So, if one day you can grow up and admit that you are not the special, little, rebel Christian super-hero you think you are.  If you can admit that you're not the absolute expert on every subject that you think you are, maybe one day we can have a real conversation.  I doubt it will happen, though, because your massive but fragile ego doesn't allow you to acknowledge any faults, flaws or failures.

yeesh, sound like someone's pooper is experiencing much hurt after his petition to oust me fell of deaf ears. IDK maybe I'd be butt hurt too if I tried my best to shut someone down almost everyday for literally years, and the best I could do is be forced/reminded to continue to share a space and try my best to ignore them...

But I'm not that kind of person now am I.. Matter of fact as the truth bears out here, no matter how arrogant I am, or how unwilling I am to allow one of you to retain a 'moral victory' without challenging your very foundations. I do indeed value your right to have a polar opposite view and live by it. This truth is proven by the fact that I never once complained or tried to have any of you bann for anything that you have said. I never even complain outside of posts like this. Posts where I  am actively pointing out the differences between how cry butt hurt babies like you and your kudo crowd behave, verses how I work and behave.. All I have ever done is to offer an equal amount of resistence to your zealous claims. When you go all jihad i do the same, but when the topic is dropped y one of you I don't victory lap and dance on your graves. i simply am willing to discuss a matter so long as there is interest in the topic.

So while you may object to my message or how i present it, or want to paint me as some big theological monster.. Know I have never been down the 'lynch mob' road that you and your buddies where on to try an bann unpopular speech, or seek to bann someone because i did not agree with their 'moral values.'

That sport is the danger of 'self righteousness.' The feeling you get of doing 'good' can be manufactured by the mob,  despite the evil/basic human right you are trying to take away. and for what? what was my crime? what was my unforgivable sin? well lets see what you think/said:

In essence your self righteousness is willing to allow you or rather applaud you for infringing on my rights to free speech/religion because You do not feel your arguments silence or trump mine. Again look at your words.. It's not about the ONI this thread is about. for you it is about me not being taken aback by the information you provide or your peers provide. Meaning I am not phased, you can not get traction on your arguments that you want.. Or are you saying if I did concede to all your points you'd still have this complaint?!?!

That's crap because if that were the case then where are the ONI threads for all the other 'good theists?'

No, that's crap.. Again all of this because your ego is not being rewarded for slaying the giant you do not have the power or the ablity to silence what I say. You are being forced to wade into deeper and deeper waters (outside of the protection of those who teach people how and what to think) and you are not such a strong swimmer. So rather than admit you can't swim in such deep water without your intellectual floaties, you rather see me gone based on some fabricated technicality.

wow... just friggen wow..

Nut up, take your lumps or learn to question everything you believe as I have, or simply ignore the deep end of the pool. You can still have a lot of fun on the other end.

Me too. "Digging one hole after another" would, I suppose, be another way of putting it.

This is Drich's wife.  I signed up a few years ago just to see what the heck he was doing for 12 hours a day.  I only stuck around for a little bit because this just  really isn't my kind of thing.  I see he has the ability to make anyone crazy, not just me Big Grin

I can't believe some of the things he writes on here, I can see why some of you would want to punch him in the face.  I also know him and how he thinks and I will say that he really does mean well even if he comes off like a total ahole sometimes. I know he truly does care about each and every one of you.  In real life he is a lot more sensitive (mostly!!!).

Anyway, I know he brings on what he gets. Sooooo' I just wanted to say something because I might lurk around a little while longer. I wont be debating or arguing but maybe I'll see you in some fun topics.  Please don't attack me because you hate him...... I'm actually super cool and lovable??

I remember you from before so I'm not shocked that you exist.  I'm still surprised that Drich can be married to someone who sees him pretty clearly and yet hasn't strangled him.  I personally just have to ignore him.  Every time I get drawn in I end up getting pissed off and I just don't enjoy being a hater.  I really don't know how you do it.

she doesn't all ways make it without 'expressing' her objections..

Once I thought that maybe spaghetti should not be boiled for so long that it burns and sticks to the bottom of the pan, scrapped and then boiled another hour in the sauce. Rather than have a fight I "suggested" we give it to the dogs and go out to dinner...

then I got a fresh vat of hot spaghetti thrown at me. pot and all..

I like her more by the minute.

The wife and I have pretty much done away with pasta in our spaghetti because of carb coma. Now we lightly boil bean sprouts and use that as our 'pasta'. My wife had read about it somewhere. I was skeptical at first, but it's actually really good. And no overcooked pasta sticking to the pot. For that matter, I haven't had a pot thrown at me.

The knife sharpener was another story.

Jeez, did you never learn that brevity is the soul of wit.  Don't start punching the keys until you're clear on what you want to say.  And don't answer every damned detail.  Ain't no one wants to hear all that.

That was in response to this.

You did better in the one you just wrote to me.  See, it takes less time if you leave off a little of the vindictiveness.
