Hey it's not their fault their schools specifically get rid of the "Water Cycle" discussion during science. Actually I think they take out science all together.

I guess that's what you'd get when you take away science. All your understanding and knowledge goes too.
By like going back to the dark ages. No knowledge, no understanding and no technology.

That sad individual simply lacked the knowledge about the earth's water cycle. His argument was flawed from the start.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

People do that. Don't blame religion on this one. If they didn't have religion, they'd use some sort of garbage like 'conservative values'. Take that away and proceed to the 'think of the children' arguments. Remove these and you still have idiots that want to control what people learn.

PZed posted it on his blog. I don't know where he got it from, but he's usually very good with sources.

I found out that it's a poe from the Landover Baptists.

Trouble is that the cretinists think like that so when you do see something like this, welllll......

It is symtomatic of the way they think anyway.

Think things like "intelligent falling" and the like.

as atested to by the rejection from the small pool of theists here? I think all the POE's are just another way to unilaterally garner support for a stereotype that is outdated.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
