Is it fair to say?

Is it fair to say, that many nonbelievers are simply afraid of Gods idea, preached by peaceful religions? The popular motto "serve or burn", which you can see around the world is indeed depressing.

Not for me. I don't believe because I don't believe never have, I'm not afraid of any ideas about god just slightly bemused by them.

I don't know what you're talking about. Not in an insulting way, I just don't know what that paragraph means.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

No. What are you talking about? Are you afraid of being force-choked by Darth Vader?
I'm afraid of what some believers are prepared to. I'm not afraid of their imaginary friends.

Afraid of what again?

Not at all. I find the whole package anything from childish to repugnant, depending on how it's wrapped. I've never fallen for the scam, neither back in the day nor am I likely to now.
Note that I am separating the concept of gods from that of religion. It's a vital distinction and one often conflated for all manner of reasons.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

No, I don't think that's fair to say.
I think what you're asking is if "many nonbelievers" think "although religion X is peaceful, their god does reserve the right to torture someone forever, and this is an idea of which I am afraid/which is repugnant to me/which is morally reprehensible/which is damaging psychologically," and if that's the reason many nonbelievers don't believe.
I do think the first part of that is true - that a ton of nonbelievers find that idea fearful/repugnant/immoral/damaging. But, in wondering if "many nonbelievers are simply afraid of" that, implying that's the reason, or a substantial reason, that they don't believe, no, I don't think that's true.
Edit: Essentially, I think you're asking if a large part of the non-believing community is making a fallacious appeal to consequences. I think the answer is "no."

"Simply afraid of Gods [sic] idea"?
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean, but my being a nonbeliever has absolutely nothing to do with being afraid of anything.
