Quote:Trump to tap former Texas Gov. Rick Perry as his energy secretary: CBS

Quote:As CBS notes, Perry sits on the boards of two major energy companies, including Energy Transfer Partners which owns a subsidiary Dakota Access LLC, which is attempting to build the Dakota Access Pipeline, which was recently brought to a halt after a flood of lawsuits and protests

Not even a pretense of impartiality.

Make money, money by fair means if you can, if not, but any means money."[/i]

Q. Horatius Flaccus - Roman poet predicting the Drumpf administration in the first century  BC.

Quote:Marco Rubio comes out blasting at President-elect Donald Trump's pick for secretary of state

Even Little Marco?

Quote:In 2012, Putin personally bestowed Russia's Order of Friendship on Tillerson, the highest civilian honor for a non-Russian the government can provide.

Yeah - that's a concern even for republicunts.

Defending against cretins at the Energy Department and elsewhere.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/ener...69ee84214a

Quote:Scientists are frantically copying U.S. climate data, fearing it might vanish under Trump

Quote:Alarmed that decades of crucial climate measurements could vanish under a hostile Trump administration, scientists have begun a feverish attempt to copy reams of government data onto independent servers in hopes of safeguarding it from any political interference.

The efforts include a “guerrilla archiving” event in Toronto, where experts will copy irreplaceable public data, meetings at the University of Pennsylvania focused on how to download as much federal data as possible in the coming weeks, and a collaboration of scientists and database experts who are compiling an online site to harbor scientific information.

Because aside from the Orange Turd who could possibly trust Rick Perry with sensitive data?

Expect this to be reversed by the Drumpfucks as soon as they get the chance.  Safe drinking water can never be allowed to interfere with oil company profits!

Bad enough that this fucker was in Congress to begin with.

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/12/trumps-p...lann-roof/

Quote:Trump’s pick for Interior secretary has links to neo-Confederate group that inspired Dylann Roof

Quote:Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Interior has gotten donations from white supremacists and endorsed them in political races.

Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT), like chief of staff Steve Bannon, brings troubling ties to organized hate groups to the Republican president-elect’s inner circle, reported Fusion.

RawStory has jumped the shark. They appear to have single sourced their information from Fusion and have bought into the hyperbole.

Zinke's link was having been given a donation by an idiot, who donated $65,000 to a number of Republican candidates, all of whom returned or donated the contributions (as far as I can tell right now, Ted Cruz being another) when informed of its source. Zinke, when notified of who contributed a whopping $500, promptly donated it to a charity to help the Roof victims.

The other link that apparently counts as being cozy with racist organizations is the charge from his congressional seat competitor that he endorsed Taylor Rose, who as a student at Bob Jones university was a member of a now defunct Christian based Western Civilization organization. Rose is also accused of contributing as a writer to some other organization identified as a hate group by the SPLC. This seems a bit problematic, but there's no way of knowing what Zinke's understanding here is. The Zinke campaign denies the claim.

The clickbait headlines are overstating the supposed links and coziness I think.

Now we are moving beyond the Band of Bullshitters into the Band of Traitors and Criminals.

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/12/revealed...-oil-firm/

Quote:Secretary of State pick Rex Tillerson is director of off-shore Russia oil firm

Quote:According to leaked documents provided to Germany’s Süddeutsche Zeitung and then shared with the Center for Public Integrity, President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to serve as Secretary of State is a director of an off-shore firm involved in oil and gas operations in Russia.
The documents, given by an anonymous source, reveal that ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson has been a director of the oil company’s Russian subsidiary, Exxon Neftegas, since 1998 — based in the corporate tax-haven of the Bahamas.
While it was known that Tillerson was named president of Exxon Neftegas that same year, his position as a director on a board with other members based in Moscow and in Sakhalin was not previously known.

Don't you mean "after they got caught," Cato?

But maybe you're right.  Perhaps in Drumpf's circle there is nothing except racist fucktards and Russki-loving motherfuckers to choose from.

I have voted libertarian since the '90s. By 2020 I think I will be returning to the socialist agenda I promoted as a younger more idealistic man. Trump and his billionaire club did it.
