When I was a kid we use to go to the bird sanctuary and they use to let us hold the birds I had a great horned owl on my shoulder a few times once it fell asleep on my shoulder

They look cute but they can make bald eagles cry, steal their lunch money and take over their nests.*

Not related to owls, but related to this thread and this forum:

I watched more of that guy's videos, and it turns out:

JESUS CHRIST DIED IN JAPAN AT THE AGE OF 106 AND WAS BURIED THERE

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Owls are beautiful. I have many owl neighbors in the woods around my property. One night I was standing outside my back door. I heard the most insane call - like a howler monkey on acid. I knew we had no mammals here that could make this kind of outburst. I searched on line sites for bird calls . The closest I could find was a screech owl. This call was more than likely made by a large bird because of sheer volume and resonance. Screech owls are not very big but this is my closest guess.

Hey, don't knock bird brains.   A crow with a brain the size of cashew nut often outscore chimps with brain the size of grapefruits in problem solving tests.

Unlike mammals, whose higher cognitive processes only happen in a thin layer on the surface of the cerebrum, bird brains appear to carry out cognitive processes throughout the entire cerebrum. In other words, birds actually use most of their brains to cognitate, mammals not so much.

Wow, even the birds are squinty-eyed.
