Steven Hawking's Brother

Steven Hawking's Brother
Anyone hear about Steven Hawking's brother supposedly having an out-of-body or near-death experience that caused him to change his beliefs about god, death and so forth?

Even if it were true, what then?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If it were true, it would clearly mean that Hawkings is simply and stupidly wrong about piddly stuff like time and gravity. Because - as we all know - what your brother claims invalidates whatever YOU claim.

Oh right, yeah. Obvious, when you think about it.

Well, that's atheism over then, I guess. We had a good run, yeah? I suppose I'll just say "kinda lingers" and be off home then. Can the last one out turn the lights off and lock up?

Edward Hawking?  I don't think he's known for anything.  He doesn't even have a wikipedia page.  The only thing that's known about him was that he was adopted into the Hawking Family.  According to Stephen he was non-intellectual and non-academic.

I don't get these sort of arguments.  I mean if the Pope had a brother who was an atheist... does that improve his credibility?

They are different people with different life experiences, level of education and beliefs.
