But I know what you mean. When I was asking about "investigative" journalism, I was asking about those outlets/magazins/news-channels that are into putting together the pieces of a bigger picture of the world we are living in.

Facts in journalism are the same as facts in anything else. They need verifiable supporting evidence and the ability to be checked and verified.

You keep asking the same questions getting the same answers then doing it again.

This seems a common thing theists do, trying to get an answer they can attack, is that your game or is English not your first language.

To me it seems you haven't understood what I was asking. Let me re-phrase my question:

What are the pre-conditions that are neccessary for a free press to function so that investigative journalism can do its job?

They must give more facts than opinions and when they do give opinions they should state out right that what they are saying is biased and not "balanced and fair".

Basically Trump and his cronies are trying to destroy the free press so they can carry out their horrible agendas.

Okay. I get what you're saying. But in this thread I'm not interested in talking about Trump or anybody in any kind of political function, whosoever. I'm intersted in finding out what needs to be the case so that there is a free press in which investigative journalism can function.

Let me, again, re-phrase my question:

What is needed and neccessary (pre-conditions) to have a free press in which investigative journalism can function as such?
