Well that and Naruto(without the fillers). I think I've watched other animes like Samurai Shamploo, attack on titan etc but I quickly got bored. Death note was the best. Never had another anime, series, movie, anything really keep me so excited to see what would happen the next episode.

Attack On Titan is guaranteed to make you bored. Have you tried Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood? How about Psycho-Pass? Cowboy Bebop? Akira? Blame? Wolf's Rain? Ghost In The Shell? Area 88? Gundam? Space Battleship Yomato?

You might like at least a few of these if you check them out.

I have seen the alchemist one. Didn't quite mesh well with the jive of that show really but everyone seems to think highly of it. Have heard of the others but never tried it. This thread is precious to me because so many animes are suggested here Big Grin

I actually came here to ask another question :

Do yall prefer subbed or dubbed version?

I actually started seeing only dubbed but eventually (had to) switched to subbed but I got so used to it and the whole Japanese swag in their Lang that I now prefer only subbed even if there is dubbed available.

I prefer Dubbed. It just sinks into my brain easier in my native tongue. I don't dislike subbed anime, however.

Dude, I came to really hate Bleach (manga, not anime; though I know they don't generally differ much except for filler) once they went to Soul Society. They just introduced WAY too many characters way too quickly and it devolved into fights without plot and never recovered from that. Lots of questions went unanswered and the ending to every arc post-Soul Society was a cheap deus ex machina. So disappointed in Tite Kubo.

I like dubbed because I can leave it playing on my monitor while I'm playing a video game on TV and still be listening to it even if I'm not fully watching it.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

I'm generally not a fan of anime, especially the type produced for the likes of Pokémon and the like.

I've watched a couple of the "higher quality" anime movies and still generally find it to be inferior to cartoons.

To me, bad artwork can ruin the most exceptional stories.

It depends. Has the dub been butchered? If yes, then I'll watch sub. Does the dub stay faithful to the original? If so, then I'll just take the dub. It's easier. I get to see what's going on and know what's being said at the same time, instead of read and quickly move my eyes back to the middle of the screen to see what's going on.

Also, if you're into Metal, you should check out the two animes Detroit Metal City and Black Heaven. The first one is a comedy about a guy that wants to make pop music but is forced into making what they call Death Metal (is actually Nu-Metal) and the second one is almost like the fantasy of a middle aged guy that longs for the days of playing in his band, and uses his guitar to fight aliens. They're both pretty fun.

I like a bit more serious type of anime... You know but also fun. Not too serious but also fun.. Like Naruto..i love the story.. The whole flashbacks of the senju and Uchiha clan.. The whole Naruto getting his name from jirayas book. The abundance of characters.. Different countries different villages . I remember when I started watching Naruto I was so fascinated with its story I went to Wikipedia page and read everything
