It would seem that the poorer you are physically the poorer you are spiritually and are in dire NEED of a religion. hmmmm boat people hmmmm...mental health issues hmmm

Religion falsely promises you that by doing things totally useless towards improving your situation, you will improve your situation. But if you are beaten down and feels you can do nothing pragmatic to improve your situation, why not embrance that fantasy and imagine that what you can do, whch are things totally useless, will improve the situation anyway?

The problem is, of course, when you can do something useful, but choose to do things totally useless.
