I think even the SeaBees would have to admit that you set too hard a goal even for them.

Well good luck. Their position seems to be; 'the existence of god cannot be debated using the normal rules of logic'.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

That's OK. Let's use non normal logic (as long as it isn't illogical)..
It can be of a philosophical nature only ... As per my other thread ... Why must all religious discussions need to be about proving anything to us?

We don't force them to say anything. It's all of their own choosing.
C'mon theists, let's leave ALL the science AND all the magic out of this thread.
I can't be more lenient than that ...

If theists could do that then they wouldn't be theists.

Are you really saying that their pet discussion of choice is flawed all the way down to the root?
That's unbelievable!

It's logical to say that we don't know. But assumptions made there after have to be logical.

Now as adults, we can use this thing in our brains called thinking. If we were to teach religion to fully grown adults, indoctrination wouldn't be possible. And therefore ending majority of religions.

There would however be some cases where a very few people believe in some "forces" and "higher powers" but there wouldn't be any violence and rules and other complications of the religions we use to keep children (and then adults once they're indoctrinated it is near impossible to overcome, hats off to those that are able to overcome it though) in line.

As adults and a social species, we need morality, we have evolved this morality and were able to grow exponentially as a species because of it. Some theists might wrongfully and unknowingly claim "hey without god and the threat of hell, how are we gonna be moral and not just kill and steal everything from eachother?" Which is just an ignorant (for lack of a better word) statement. As most murderers are on fact religious but lets not get into the statistics and pissing contests.

Therefore the logical assumption should be atheism, at least until we can confirm what exactly is going on and why we are here, if we are even able to figure it out before extinction.

OK.

I'm a bit confused.
No Christian believes in magic in their everyday lives, right.
I mean, if you go shopping with friends and get a parking fine, your first instinctive reaction isn't to start chanting incantations in a foreign tongue in the car park to dispel the evil act.
(What would your other hypocritical Christian friends think of you?)

Let's try this.
Is there such a thing as a Christian (extra lite cafe) who is religious but doesn't believe in magic full stop?
Min is likely to tell us that every single one of them is batshit crazy purely by definition alone.

Someone please tell me this isn't the case.

If there could just be some coherent definitions given by theists, that would be more progress than most debates.
