I just think it's strange that these top deities in their faith can be dreamt about but not seen in NDEs. As I'm sure you now know because of your more recent posts, the god of the dead or whatever in hinduism is Yamraj and his messengers are the Yamdoots, so even though Krishna is a 'top' deity, it would make no sense to see him in a NDE.

Much more mindfucking going on in Christianity than Hinduism. It's all psychological. In Hinduism, not everyone has heard about Yamraj and his messengers coming to receive the dead more than a few times. The stories are often told by hopeful grandmothers in the evening during prayers or at night before bed when the grandkids come to stay with them. There's no clear consensus on how Yamraj looks. As children, hindus see him in comic books or prayer books, but he looks the way the illustrator envisions him. Ask two hindus to draw Yamraj, and you'll see highly different looking weirdos on the two papers. Ask two Christians to draw Jesus, and they'll most likely draw something similar.
PS: Personally I like to imagine him as a large juicy scrumptious candied Yam.
thanks for that amazing answer! I'm curious, do you come from a Hindu background or have you studied Hinduism? You seem to know a lot about it

My mom, grandparents and virtually all my extended family are Hindus. The only non hindu in my family is my dad, who's an atheist like me. I'm 15, so I haven't really 'studied' anything in great depth yet, but I obviously have some experience with Hindus. Mind you, though, Hinduism differs so greatly across regions, that my knowledge is probably more indicative of the area I'm from.

I am wondering then, if it is so bad to draw a picture or admit a Near Death Experience, why do they dream about him and brag about it when they do? Shouldn't that be taboo as well? I just don't understand that aspect.
Here is a picture of my own NDE, as near as I can recall (some of the details are a little hazy - it was a long time ago):

Mohammed is physically described in the literature so it's easy to visualize what he supposedly looked like, a regular white guy. Yeshua is described as a weird sy-fy character.

Why would Jesus appear to people who were not dead or even dying ? A NDE is simply that, I must assume that a god would know who was going to die, and who would not.
That aside, we only have an idea of what Jesus must have looked like, and one 'bright light' I imagine is very Much like another.
And what is and who is your NDE Buddy ?
Frankly it does not provide any evidence of anything other than people make things up.

It is a part of the mythology of Jesus that you will meet him when you die. Not so with Mohammed. If it's not part of their respective mythologies, why would you expect it to show up in NDEs?

If you are blind in this world, you are blind in the next, and you will have narrow life between death and resurrection.
If people can't see the connection to the guide and the twelve stars/moons/suns with him in this world, there is no reason, to see it in near death experiences.
With love, whoever is the reminder and word of light that God has brought to life, and the Twelve Lions of God with him, be they predecessors or successors, it's very easy to see what we are connected to and who is our leader and what the true essence of goodness is in humanity, and the name of God is the leader and the leader is the name of God, it's not simply that they go together, it's that the holy spirit is the leader and name of God and the leader and name of God is the holy spirit.
I reflected enough of the Bible to see Mohammad in there clear as daylight but that is another discussion for another time.

Turns out all of you are correct, I spoke with some Muslims today and they told me they don't expect to see Prophets at death
Thanks for your answers, I stand corrected

Perhaps you'd have to buy a rug from the carpet merchant? Surely he has a monopoly on rug sales in "paradise?"
