Happy Birthday, Hitch!

The man's writings were too difficult for me to comprehend but I enjoyed watching him debate William Lane Criaig and others.

The hotel had a second story coffee shop with an outdoor balcony/ walkway over the road to the other side. A single table outside he was sitting at. I had brought a "Darwin" licence plate to get autographs on. Startled to see him, I suddenly became mentally a school girl throwing her bra at Elvis. Walked up and stuttered the words, " Cu cu cu , Can I have your autograph?" He said "Yes" and guess what, I HAD NOTHING FOR HIM TO SIGN IT WITH! He gave me that look, "DUMBASS!". I think he is very understandable in his videos, but yea. He has a billion dollar lexicon. The only book I understood by him was "God Is Not Great, How Religion Poison's Everything". I had a huge problem with "Jefferson, Author Of America", because he named dropped 50 billion times per page as if everybody knew what he did. Hitch 22 was pretty messy for me too. But, with God Is Not Great and his videos I do find him in small bites very understandable. My favorite slam on a fundy was what he said the day after Fuckwell died, "If you gave that man an enema you could bury him in a matchbox." |
