Axelrod the Erudite. I would be the guy who tells the barbarians where to find the Stone of Requirement and how to use the Sword of Cutting Up against the dread Demon of Flatulence. My library would be extensive and I'd sleep in my own bed each night.

I had a barbarian in DDO once. I usually name a character after a different character in a different game. Like Arturo, because there's a big strong guy by that name from an N64 game I liked. Male Dwarven chaotic good mage slayer, because somebody needs to rush in and show those mages that linear warriors can kick their asses. He derived his barbarian rage from the hatred of wizards and sorcerers that think they're all that and a bag of chips. He liked clerics just fine, though.

The Scarred ElectroBard, a handsome fellow with a non disfiguring facial scar. A male human. He's a bard. He discovered the technomagic lute while lost in the ancient ruins of a dead civilization. His music can inspire any reaction sadness, despair, joy, love. That dude has been through some schiznit. He's mainly a musician, but he's not completely useless with a short sword or dagger.
I've heard lots of bards have short swords.
My MMO bard has a big harp.
