I think if that happens to parts of the world, then other parts that preserves organized society and civilization will conquer.

One thing that prevents humans from relapsing completely back to pre-industrial barbarism is industrial civilization is so,much more powerful that that last remaining industrial civilization when all the others have fallen into barbarism will sweet across the globe conquering all before it and reestablish industrial civilization across the globe.

According to civilization call to power, the next age we reach is the genetic age.

Robotics and genetics.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Yeah, I want to change my answer now.

It's going to be a freak show soon: smarter, stronger healthier people connected to smarter, more powerful AI computers.  We are in the process of creating a cybernetic race of gods right now, I think.

We live in the age of narcissism.

Media rules our waking existence. The internet, Facebook, Twitter, the news media, cell phones, tablets, personal computers. In an age where the bulk of our existence is public, preoccupation shifts from a concern for what you have to a concern for how what you have is presented. We shift from being a representation to spending our time managing our representation and that of others. It is a fundamental shift in the tasks the mind is given to perform.
