That's how I like my burgers, and then I take half of the carrot off. Often when you ask for the lot you get bacon and egg as well. If you don't like beetroot, but have only tasted the canned version, then try it roasted. It's a different fruit all together. Ok, today we went northwest inland, 6 hours, very flat, nothing but farms and field, very few trees and the rest stops are far between. John is loving it, I am really no fan of being out in the middle of nowhere, but he is loving it, so it is worth it.
So, you made it to the middle of Knowhere?
Best sandwich wrap, heat pressed kabab in the world is in Brisbane. Kebab has 3 locations. You have your choice of grilled chicken, or lamb/beef. You can get veggies in it like lettuce, red bell peppers, onions, jalapenos,, mushrooms, olives, and cheese, ect ect, along with assorted sauces. And they are FUCKING HUGE!

Holy crap did we travel the past two days. I am not a car travel person. We're currently in a small coastal town called Yeppoon. 7 hours north of Brisbane. But we went inland prior to a town called Chinchilla. So we've seen the bush, holy fuck is it flat. I have never seen that amount of flat from horizon to horizon. We stopped at a "campy" as in tourist trap mineral "mine", all staged of course, not a real mine. And then went to a coal mine museum. We also stopped at a History museum of their version of "wild west". <---- A real history museum. John is loving it, he truly is a rural lover.
But today we are going out to some island off the cost of Yeppoon. I love the ocean. And at some point either Friday or Saturday we are going to go to Irwin's zoo, then Back to Brisbane. You don't like to travel by car and flying makes you super nervous. Other than walking or riding a bicycle you are running out of options for getting from point A to point B unless you can go with water travel. I hope Irwin's zoo is not a disappointment. I always enjoyed him and the show. RE: G'day Mate......

I went to Brisbane last year, and we went to Irwin's zoo, I loved it. I got to hold a Koala and have my picture taken with it. The tiger enclosure is amazing. And the bird/crock show in the stadium was fun. I know my friend John will love it too. And the view of Glass House Mountains, just south of the zoo is amazing. I love downtown Brisbane. It can be super hot during the summer, but if you are on the water tour, Sea Cats, speed boats, they are so fast when you are standing outside it still feels like you are in a walk in freezer. And the water taxis to the outer islands in Redland Bay give you an awesome view. I hate flying too, as with long drives. I like being at new places, I simply hate long trips to get to them. |
