Cheers. It's just that it presented a puzzle. And there are a lot of really smart people here on this forum. And I, like many, dream of flying. I have studied bees, beetles, dragonflies and spiders. The more I observe them the more I understand how they fly. It ain't just because they have wings. Certainly, spiders don't have wings but they still fly.
I used to manage a vacation rental in Pa'ia. I lived there and could surf in my backyard. I was bitten by a Brown Recluse and nearly lost my foot. Thank God the doctor recognized it and treated it as such. I had bug service regularly because I didn't want my guests to be bothered by centipedes or scorpions. But, the spiders just blow in with the wind.
It is fascinating. A spider will make a parasail, attach itself to a branch and charge up the sail with static electricity via the wind until it go's up, because of atmospheric electricity, and blows with the wind. They find spiders on the buoys we use to measure swell size that are out at sea!
My girlfriend thinks I'm a stalker. Well...she's not my girlfriend "yet".
I discovered a new vitamin that fights cancer. I call it ...B9
I also invented a diet pill. It works great but had to quit taking it because of the side effects. Turns out my penis is larger and my hair grew back. And whoa! If you think my hair is nice!
When does size truly matter? When it's TOO big!
I'm currently working on a new pill I call "Destenze". However...now my shoes don't fit.

Ah yes.
Scaling sizes do seem some what counter intuitive.
Spiders etc can loft seemingly forver. Mice can survive falls from amazing hieghts etc.
However..... just because spiders might 'Start' their drag lines in such a manner doesn't correlate to pushing a hominid sized mass through the air.

Please provide a sketch. Ok, please excuse the fact that I am a stupid surfer from HB. I did not go to college. But, I have studied much because there is just stuff out there that is fascinating. When you have two copper plates separated by an insulator, such as glass, and you charge one plate with + electricity, and one plate with - electricity, you have what is known as a plate capacitor which is then static electricity. However, Benjamin Franklin said of Leyden Jars, that the electricity is in the glass. Therefore, when you charge the plates: the glass becomes the capacitor. Lift off!
I watched a YouTube video of a guy who could make things fly into the air, such as a bowling ball, using surplus military equipment, he threw electricity at those objects but, did not understand. I watched another YouTube video of a guy throwing electricity at pieces of broken glass and make them fly but, he did not understand.
When you charge the two plates, the dielectric glass becomes capacitance and flies!
So, we're off the ground. Now what?!

I can't even find a kook site that properly represents what I've been told about dielectric stress. Basically you have two plates that are separated from each other by a dielectric. You charge both plates with a timed pulse such that one is positive and the other is negative and that will cause the whole assembly to surge in one direction. Do it with the correct frequency and you can achieve lift theoretically. Also, if you shift where you are stimulating the plates you can bias the lateral direction and achieve lift and thrust at the same time.

Brown, who patented the "Flying Saucer" in 1926 said that you control the flight when you control the +. I can only think of electromagnetism.
