Poutine is a dish consisting of french fries and cheese curds topped with brown gravy. It originated in Quebec. I heard about this dish only recently. My maternal grandmother was from Quebec and did a lot of the cooking in our household when I was a kid. I can still recall the taste of her delicious meat pies. Surprisingly, she never prepared poutine or even mentioned it. I'll have to prepare it myself sometime soon.

Depending on when she left Quebec, your granny may not have ever heard of poutine - it only dates from the late 1950s.

Scrolling through YouTube videos and found out the drag queen I used to do bookkeeping for now has boobs...and as someone who has had total breast reconstruction, I can say that his doctor did a magnificent job.
