Overpopulation

I put this in politics seen as I couldn't really think of anywhere else.
A guy who I usually watch for his comedy videos did a video on a certain subject which is often very controversial. Here it is:

What do you guys think about overpopulation? Is it a problem (I certainly think so)? How should we deal with it?

I thought the US was working on this problem ... by simply killing off the inhabitants of third world countries.

I don't think it's a problem. I do think government and splitting us up into countries is. We can't expand like this, at least not easily.

Maybe not for you fat yanks it isn't a problem because you can easily access the resources you need (like fries and cheeseburgers). Unless you hadn't noticed there are millions of people starving in africa, people in poverty in overpopulated slums in china, india and brazil etc. Overpopulation is definitely a problem and frankly if you can't see it you must be blind as a fucking bat.

Population may not be the root cause of starvation in Africa (although I agree that under current conditions it's a pretty shitty factor).

If overpopulation was the true root of the problem, people in Africa would be better off than people in China, which has more people than all countries in Africa combined.
Middle-of-the-road UN projections have us topping out at 9 bn in the last half of the century, followed by a slow decline in population for centuries afterward.

Yeah I didn't say it was the catalyst for poverty in africa. But those dying kids ain't gona suddenly get more food when the rest of the world is busy consuming it.
