Robot Baby - An analogy

Robot Baby - An analogy

Robot Baby’s beginnings of psychological addiction is perpetuated through the very first thing it perceives, the PS3, which it proclaims to be its mother. It is at first curious about its awakening, but then realises that this inquisitive nature is a sad delusion, it then sheds tears at the horrors of the world it has been brought into, but these tears then turn to misery, then despair and finally a fiery raging hatred at the thought of what its future perceptions will bring.

This Robot Baby wishes it had never been.

But there is no escape, for it has been programmed for this life.

All the knowledge Robot Baby has accumulated in its awakening has brought it the wisdom that it is simply an artificial need machine and it has no free will.

Robot Baby wishes for an alternative awareness of its condition, a virtual paradise, but unfortunately, Robot Baby’s mother, PS3, can’t provide this reality for it, nor can any sensual pleasure for that matter. Robot baby realises this, Robot Baby sees the utter meaningless of its presence in this world.

Robot Baby is knowledgeable in its despair as it has done all the calculations and can’t come to the equation of hope.

With all its might, Robot Baby decodes the mechanisms that keep it at bay, it says one last goodbye to this god forsaken planet, sheds one last tear, and gracefully unplugs itself from this futile existence.

The world never cared.

Why so depressed? The handful of buddhists I've met in my life would not support this dark view you have.

This is not a state of depression. I acknowledge that all compounds of things are impermanent, that all emotion is pain of the dualistic mind, all things are void of inherent existence and nirvana is beyond all extremes.

And you find that that particular view coincides with Buddhism?

Yes.

It doesn't.

(at least not according to any Buddhism I've studied. If you know otherwise, please do direct me to that information.)
