A morning with the felines: the chronicles of Michone

A morning with the felines.
A little back story:

"Basboos" -the brown cat- grew up and became a full-grown cat, he brought two kittens to this world; his mate died -throat problems;she couldn't swallow hard food-; so his kids were 1 male and 1 female, we called the male "TOM" and the female "KITTY".

Kitty grew and vanished at puberty, probably mated elsewhere, but Tom remained in our backyard. Basboos left too but he always comes back to get a full meal of wet food :Smile

If you remember, Basboos had stomach issues and anus sickness. Looks like his kitten inherited the same disease; but he throws up food a lot.

Anyways, Basboos came today so I wanted to say hi, took some pictures for the family that I want to share:

Basboos sleeping on the chair.

The location I poked with the stick the other day in search of the "hideous smell"..This hole was full of flies and bugs.

Tom trying to climb the tree. My guess is that males just don't know how and never do it. Or maybe he's sharpening his claws.

Tom's face, makes Brad Pit look like a clown.

I really don't get how humans can fight over shit, be it religion, politics or economics after looking at a picture like this. No, Muslim, no Jew, no Christian, no Buddhist, no Hindu, no atheist, can argue that that cat gives one fuck about human problems. Having had several cats as pets in my lifetime, all they give a fuck about is being fed and being loved.

The moment a human crosses the big red line of forcing a view on another is the moment peace jumps out of the window.

I wouldn't exactly put it that way. Gallieo was not crossing a "red line" by telling the society of his time that they got the sun/ earth relationship wrong. The crime was the church being afraid of facts and putting him under house arrest for telling the truth.

I would however agree that humans are far too often tribal and afriad of change. I would also argue pets, say cats or dogs especially, are an example of the overlap humans can find beyond our disagreements.

That last is very perceptive. I mean, imagine how bad the Holocaust would have been if Hitler didn’t love dogs.   Doh

I didn’t miss your point. I got your point fully and completely. It was just a stupid point, that’s all. Love of pets has never, not once, stopped humans from being shitty to each other.

Damn you got me. Oh wait, thanks for making my point for me.

Love of pets DON'T get humans to get along. NO KIDDING. Maybe it should?

Then why did you say this?
