Those Political Memes
RE: Those Political Memes

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

This isn't exactly a meme, but it surely qualifies for this topic. Freshly off of Kolourpaint. Big Grin

Sorry, if it appears too big and/or too long but there's no other way to fit all that text in it and still keep the text small and readable.

And now some dumb memes defending trickle down

Define the poor and this misses the point that the level of perks the rich get don't even come close to the number of jobs generated

Government subsidies are not the same as giving tax breaks to billionaires

The government giving bailout money to corporations to prevent them from falling and collapsing the economy is not the same as giving tax breaks to billionaires under the delusion they will create jobs.
