That explains why you approved of Obama being elected but it doesn't explain why you liked him in particular.  Was there anything about the man or how he did the job that commanded your respect?

I feel sorry for everyone who is caught up in the fake U.S. history!!!!!

Mike Litoris is by far the greatest president. His running mate, Connie Lingis, was just so good you could eat her up!

If we’re looking for ‘most important’ President, I think a fair case could be made for either Harding or Trump. Both stand as shining examples of what not to look for in a President.

Barack Obama for the following reasons, and likely more that aren't coming to mind just now:

Healthcare reform (ACA)
Wall Street reform (Frank-Dodd reform)
Iraq and Afghanistan conflict missions ended under his watch
Got rid of DADT
Dream act
Net neutrality
Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act
Focus on school nutrition and nutrition education for kids

haha, reading the rest of these replies is making me rethink posting a serious answer.

Oh well!

George Washington -- he could have tried a coup (and, probably succeeded) but did not.

It was Dodd-Frank.

You've got me on ending the Afghanistan mission.  Its just now ending.  Are you referring to a specific change in the mission?

When did this supposedly happen?

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse meeeeeee! You're right, Dodd-Frank. Maybe I am feeling a bit dyslexic today.
I mean the end of the offensive operations in Afghanistan--operation "enduring freedom". Or maybe it's "freedom enduring operation".  Something like that.
