It isn't the bullet that kills you, it's the hole.

Yup. You can carry a bullet around all day and not come to harm.

It’s not the sudden stop that kills you.   It is the fact that not all parts of you suddenly stop at the precisely the same moment that kills you.

It’s often not the hole that kills you.   It is the leakage facilitated by the hole.

Rodney "The Dating Game Killer" Alcala actually used "The Alice's Restaurant Massacree" as an insanity defense.

Yes, seriously. He actually likened himself to the part where Arlo's jumping up and down and getting the Army shrink to join him in jumping up and down and yelling "KILL! KILL!" And he expected the court to buy it. Regardless of the fact that Arlo's obviously lying about being that ax-crazy so he can keep out of Nam, regardless of the fact that it's obviously supposed to be a humorous version of the real incident, regardless of the fact that it doesn't even work in the song because they're okay with that level of crazy.

Well, he was the least crazy of the people on the Group W bench.

Not if it's lodged in your brain stem.

No more harm will come until the autopsy, which may not be for several days.
