DeForest Kelley, who played Dr. Bones McCoy, first uttered the catch phrase “He is dead, Captain” not to William shatner on Star Trek, but to Gregory Peck on Man in the Gray Flannel Suit.
Kelley joked after Star Trek that his biggest fear is his tomb stone would say “he is dead, Jim”. And lo and behold, after his death, his orbituary in Newsweek magazine began with “He is dead, Jim……” Quote:Chinese Australian doctor Victor Chang was a pioneer in modern heart transplant surgery. A wise Osakan (or at least a very autistic one) once said that an escalator can never break; it can only become stairs. I saw firsthand at my local Barnes and Noble that this is a lie:
Unfortunately, I did not get to take pictures that showed they had actually removed some of the steps.

When Albert Einstein was 5, his mother, who was a proficient piano player, enrolled Einstein in violin lessons. Young Einstein hated it and his musical education went nowhere.
But when he was 13 Einstein became enamored with Mozart’s violin sonatas, so he taught himself to play them without ever practicing systematically. By 17 he was a good enough violin player to be considered to have good prospects if he were to choose a musical career. Stallone wanted to use the song "Another One Bites the Dust" for Rocky 3 but the Queen would not let him, so the song "Eye Of the Tiger" was made for the movie.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Roger Moore, the third James Bond, had a tumultuous second marriage during which his wife broke a guitar over his head and threw a brick through his window in order to attempt to reach in through the broken glass to grab him by the shirt and pull him out. She intercepted his personal letters with his third wife and planned to use them in her own autobiography after their divorce. When Moore got an injunction against their use, she sued him for lost income. She sued Moore so often after their divorce that she was formally declared a vexatious litigant and required the court’s permission to file any further cases
Yet when she was terminally ill with cancer Roger Moore paid for her hospital expenses and treatment. I now think less badly of him despite his James Bond portrayal.
Sounds very Hollywood.
