Quote:A "Fat Man" bomb was dropped over Nagasaki, Japan, on Aug. 9, 1945, near the end of World War II. Released by the B-29 Bockscar, the 10,000-pound weapon was detonated at an altitude of approximately 1,800 feet over the city. The bomb had an explosive force (yield) of about 20,000 tons of TNT, about the same as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Because of Nagasaki's hilly terrain, however, the damage was somewhat less extensive than of the relatively flat Hiroshima.

The yield of Hiroshima bomb was 63TJ,  that of Nagasaki bomb was 88TJ,   About the same, but only to a precision of 39% of the energy output of the Hiroshima bomb.

it takes more water flowing over Niagara Falls to equal the Nagasaki bomb then the Hiroshima bomb, an hour and half’s flow’s worth more.

... I'm sorry, I'm having trouble parsing that. Is the water flowing over Niagara Falls supposed to equal the amount of energy released by the blast? And are we talking about the water from all three of the falls there or just one?

Then again, if we're talking about just Horseshoe Falls, it probably won't make that much difference if we added Bridal Veil and American Falls. Especially Bridal Veil Falls.
