Unless the core issues of why you don't believe are dealt with, which are almost always personal and emotional reasons, arguing with you about it isn't going to do any good. You stand on your foundation of unbelief and ask me to knock you off of it, but no one can do that. No one can argue you into faith. You have to voluntarily step away from that position of willful unbelief and only then will you be open to the truth.

So in other words you can't demonstrate the existence of god? Well I expected as much. That's why you want me to....just take your word for it. The answer is no.
Also no, I don't have sufficient evidence. You haven't provided any!
I don't believe in god for the same reason I don't believe in fairies. There is no reason or evidence to support their existence. I don't believe in god for the same reason I don't believe in the tooth fairy. Got nothing to do with emotion or anything personal. That's just you putting words in my mouth. So no, no denial. Just pure out lack of belief. Also yes, I have already ruled it out. Sensible thing to do when it's unsupported and improbable religious nonsense.

I never asked you to take my word for it. I've simply stated that I believe God has already provided to you sufficient evidence, but that you willfully suppress the truth. It's entirely up to you what you believe, the only question is whether you are interested in the truth. Let me ask you a question..If Jesus is God, would you follow Him?

We ask you to PROVE YOUR BELIEF ... we on the other hand do not have to believe that gravity or evolution works, and "speaks to us" all the time.

This thread is about evolution. If it was about proving the existence of God, that is what I would be trying to do. However, my position is the biblical position, that people deny Gods existence because they suppress the truth. I am happy to discuss God with anyone, but if anyone wants evidence I will direct them to Romans 1:18-20
Of all choices, atheism requires the greatest faith, as it demands that ones limited store of human knowledge is sufficient to exclude the possibility of God.

Also, from whence did you obtain your "knowledge" of evolution.

I believe its young. I obtained the knowledge I have from schooling, from reading books, and general research, as most have I would assume.

And what books have you read?

Total? Probably around 2000, if not more..along the way, many many science textbooks, origin of species, blind watchmaker, works of that nature..too many to list

Ahhh, so you've read "The greatest show on Earth" and similar then?

The assumption of Earth being 2000-years-old is based on the bible. What says you about global flooding like one mentioned in the time of Noah, power?

You are asking me to take your word for it. You want me to just accept what your saying as true. Not going to happen.
You believe god has provided evidence, that's fine, whatever floats your boat. However, since you cannot back up your claims, I have rejected them as utter religious nonsense. I'm not suppressing truth, I've rejected your claims due to lack of evidence. If it's truth, prove it. Demonstrate it, otherwise it's not truth. Just a foolish man's crazy religious belief.
If Jebus was god, I wouldn't follow him. Why would I? The Christian god seems too stupid and childish to me. Not worthy of my attention.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

The assumption is around 6000 years, actually. I believe it could be older than that, but probably around that range. I do believe there was a global flood, yes. There seems to be a global concensus on it, actually, when you consider the number of flood legends from the different cultures, and the facts they agree upon:

As far as I'm aware not a single atheist lacks faith in god due to your ridiculous assertion.
