See what will happen in the future in your dreams

RE: See what will happen in the future in your dreams
Well. Every time I have a "dream" where Black Widow spiders are involved, I see some of them around my property. Never mind that these things are ubiquitous around here. Interestingly enough, I haven't had a dream about Black Widow spiders in years, and haven't seen any around. Coincidence?!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Many of my dreams are actually about the past, or at least influenced by it. Dreams of walking over gravel paths with my dad, or running through SoCal with my son, or airplanes crashing, or that last year in Iran. And by definition, I cannot know if I'm dreaming about the future, anyway. And many of my dreams have been influenced by what's going on that day, or that week or month, in tangential ways. For instance, I've had a few times in my life where I've been cash-strapped and had dreams of finding surprise money in my wallet or the grass in the park, that sort of thing. Or when lonely, feeling in dream a deep bond with an entirely unknown dream-person. So I don't see dreams as predictive, but reflective or refractive instead.

I've had feelings of déjà vu, but I could never pinpoint what dreams might have instigated that feeling even though I felt I'd seen it in a dream.

I think maybe déjà vu is an instance of seeing reality rhyme with what's going on in our heads. A sort of resonance. I've certainly felt it, but I'm not sure it merits much weight.

I've also had dreams about a Black Widow. Sadly, never shows up on the property.

My dreams often involve looking for something that I can never quite find, or just being lost. They're often of the past, like being in college and not being able to find my class room, in the Air Force not being able to find where I'm supposed to report, or back on the farm walking a fence that never seems to take me back home. For some reason I used to have a lot of dreams where zombies were chasing me, sometimes through an office building, sometimes through a jungle, and whenever they got too close I alwasy found a new way to gain some distance from them.

On the plus side, I always have a lot of stamina in my dreams.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I knew I was getting old when, in my dreams, I was trying to run to or from something, and in the middle of the dream I caught myself thinking, "damn, my bum hip isn't slowing me down!" or "How am I doing this?!"

In a related sense, approaching 60 years old, I find my dreams focus much more on the past rather than the future. I think that itself is a reflection of where my conscious mind is at this age.

Pretty typical stress dreams.  They *used to* really bum me out, and make major anxiety while I was experiencing them.

Since I've retired from teaching, I find myself really not giving a damn about it in the dream, then realize I'm dreaming (become lucid), and have a ball, doing anything I want.

Lucid dreaming, and being the god of my own unlimited universe, is the ultimate amusement park experience.  I highly recommend it.
Disappointing theists since 1968!

I've had a few episodes of dreams continuing while I'm awake recently. I have a weird brain.

I had a dream my friends.

In my dream I saw a world where all the people had come together, shedding the bonds of race, religion, and idiology, to make the world a better place.

Then in my dream, I saw a paradise on Earth.

No more war.

No more poverty.

No more hunger.

No more pollution.

Only a world where people had love and respect for their brothers and sisters.

A world where no-one questioned the motives of poultry on crossings!

And then in my dream...

Then in my dream...

...I was standing completely naked in a carpark in downtown Melbourne with my tits covered in vegemite!

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

Eerie…I’ve had that dream. Having it right now, in fact…
