Two points about The Room that I didn’t learn from The Disaster Artist:





For about 22 years, people have assumed that the amber liquid in this cocktail is meant to be scotch. However, apparently, it’s probably apple juice. All signs about Tommy Wiseau’s origins point to him being Polish. And in Poland, there’s an extremely popular cocktail called the Szarlotka whose main ingredients are just apple juice and vodka (ideally Zubrowka brand.)




This line is probably the most fundamentally broken line in the entire film, and the only way Greg Sestero could even deliver that line with any level of conviction is by channeling all his frustration with Tommy into his delivery. How does Tommy even come up with such a stupid line? By translating an old-fashioned idiom like "Zostaw [insert thing here, in this case, your stupid comments] w kieszeni” literally, word-for-word, when the more natural English equivalent would be something like “I don’t care about you have to say.”
