Ulysses Grant was the first President to attempt to run for a third term, and only because other people in the Republican Party demanded it, and this was despite his controversial administrations (specifically his habit of picking corrupt officials out of a misplaced royalty, and his comparatively forward stance on black and native people couldn’t have been too popular at the time.) At least his military reputation was still intact.

The character of Dana Scully played by Gillian Anderson on the X-Files, was directly responsible for an increased number of women in science, law and medicine. This became known as "Scully Effect".
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It is called Water Gong 93, also nicknamed Gongzilla.
The sound it emits is so powerful that it resonates like the vibrations of the universe and is said to rebalance the energy of the human body.

I don't know if it was ever named, but a similar effect occurred in the 1960s - Nichelle Nichols' role in Star Trek was credited with a spike in women of color pursuing degrees in science. Boru

In Paris there is a room with a pool filled with porcelain plates that make sounds by crashing each other as they float and people listen to them.
I wonder if in a million years they will eventually play Beethoven's 7th symphony, or do they need a million plates for that?

Movie star Jimmy Stewart smuggled Yeti's finger from India to London in 1958, hiding it in his wife's lingerie case. However, DNA testing later showed the finger was human.
