God created that light in mid flight through space to test our faith, ZB. You just need to open your heart to the lord and he will show you the truth.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

The simple answer is that it's not that science believes that evolution cancels out biblical creationism. This is the view of the Christians, which is why they are always so anti-evolution. Science just doesn't have any use for supernatural explanations, so therefore a magical creator god poofing all animals into existence just doesn't fit any valid scientific theory. Science only deals with what can be seen, touched, heard, or measured in some way, so biblical creationism and God don't even factor into science. This is why we don't teach Creationism as fact, because there's no evidence to support it. Whenever Christians can get off their asses and start showing this mountain of evidence they claim they have for their god and Creationism, then science will start taking note. Until then, gods aren't even a subject for discussion in scientific circles.
