Salvia Divinorum

RE: Salvia Divinorum
I'm different from most people Smile I like to be as aware as possible. I also hate poisons, smokes, and smelly/bad tasting things. A difference in level of poison, does not change the fact that it is a poison. It may not space you out like a vegetable, but it will still make you into a fruit, a bean, or a heap of fetid meat.

That is just another assertion, not based on any facts. You just guess what you think is going to happen to you if you use (insert substance here) and assert that it will happen, and even more so, you assert it will happen to others that will use (substance previously mentioned) as well.

Nobody here says you should or should not do any substance, but do not make any claims of potency if you don't.

Are any of them not poisons? Smile Why would you take any of them if not to space out? Smile

A hallucinogen always has certain effects. Are you denying that hallucinogens are named after what they do? If it is not a hallucinogen, then it is a narcotic, a stimulant, a depressant, belonging to multiple groups, or it isn't a drug.

Quite simply, Leo: every single one of them is harmful to the body (brain included in that), and forces one to partially or completely lose control of their senses, mind, and body.

The fruit, bean, and fetid meat vs. vegetable potency comment was of course a Joke Smile

Yes. LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, all not poisons.

To increase perception for instance.

Of course not, but that does not mean you see demons and vampire bats either. It can be just perception of colours or tunnel vision. By the way, most hallucinogenics do not cause hallucinations FYI.

No not every single one is, that is a gross over generalization.

Again, that depends on the substance used.

Look, I am not saying it is all good because it isn't, but saying it is all bad is just not the case either.

True that is, and I suppose that it will take me years to repair the damage done to my knowledge base from school Undecided

But it is also considerable that most of them are anything but good for you Smile I apologize for my illogical certainty though, and again I cite the damage done to me by school. Undecided

Just for the record marijuana, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms are nearly harmless, physically.

Smoke is always harmful for ones lungs (campfire, cigarette, fumes, housefire... always.)

I don't know about the other two... but pixie dust makes you fly; angel dust makes you think you can fly. Smile

Hallucinogens don't cause one to lose control of their mind or body. If someone can't handle their trip then they don't need to be tripping.

Shrooms and Pot are two substances that I know of that are not harmful to the brain.

You're assuming marijuana has to be smoked to experience it's effects. Vaporization and eating are two very popular methods that have no side effects.

Meatball has it correct, it's a bizarre thought that Alcohol is a far harder drug than LDS or psilocybin or THC or MDMA yet it is the only one you can legally buy.

A study was done here in Christchurch, NZ last year that suggested alcohol was responsible for over 80% of violent crime in the CBD where as Cannabis didn't even register.

I also love when people bring up the 'acid makes you go nuts and jump off buildings' thing... Yeah, cause nobody has EVER committed suicide under the influence of alcohol.
