Welcome back, Drich. I hope you enjoyed your holidays and your break from this madness, even though I harbor suspicions that you may have taken a large chunk of that madness with you when you left. Drich Wrote:Anything not done for the glory of God can be identified as a waist of time. So I guess it depends on the reason why your friend works out. Is it to become more appealing to his sexual demo, or has he found some way to serve God through his effort? (Kinda like Samson in a non philistine killing way.) it all becomes a matter of the heart. So... Biblical Christianity has nothing Biblical to say about this? It's just a matter of gut feeling and motives? So if any of you has any questions or seeks clarity concerning Biblical Christianity then please feel free to post. You have no task here, and what authority do you have to give clarity on christianity? You strike me as having a very high opinion of yourself.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

You know, I realise you intended your thread title to suggest a kind of childlike sing-song pronunciation, and this is really bad of me, but I read it more as a sheep sound. I can't think why What do you mean, "you all"? There's only one of me, last time I checked. If there's some other Stimbos running about out there, I hope they're making a damn sight better go of it than me. My point, in case anyone missed it, is that you just ascribed to me the same hive-mentality stereotype behaviour you gleaned from my words about you - and didn't even realise it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Biblical Christianity is not a list of rules one must follow. It is freedom from said rules to worship god with all of one's being. (Heart, Mind Spirit and STRENGTH) If God has blessed you with the genetics and inclination to work out to the point you would consider yourself to be a body builder, and if you can somehow focous the 'attention' you get from others then body building is your lot or talent that you must double for the glory of God. If however one uses body building as a means of self glory then it is a sin like anyother. Let me get this straight. You don't have to worship god, you GET to worship god? Are you sure you don't have to get to worship god? Or is that too just one more opportunity to be grateful for?
