The Crocodillema

Describe an infallible method for determining what is accurately perceived divine communication and what is hallucinated. Without such a method, you've just taken the problem for a short, circular walk.

The question illustrates the problem relying on personal revelation poses for the faith full. It's personal, and so it's useless to anyone else as a yard stick for truth, and might just as well not get mentioned. That is is mentioned on a regular basis indicates few theists stop to think about the implications of taking seriously any messages coming in on the spiritual antenna - how do you know it's real and how do you know, if it's real, that it's from a deity, and if it is from a deity, how do you know it's from your particular deity?

"It told me it was God, my God, and it said it must be true because my God doesn't lie."

Fail. Try again.

Sometimes people answer the Crocodillemma in the affirmative - that they would kill, and those people scare the pants off me, but at least they are not hypocrites. Thankfully, most people answer in the negative, but this allows me to dismiss any weight they claim to put on personal revelation as a plank in their faith.

Everything can be very simple if you follow the nature path.
The divine seed is the same for everybody so out of this seed you will see the same result.
It will give birth to the same entity.
The moon when reflect his image in a lake will show a myriad of moons according to the position in which you see but in reality there is only one moon.
So the illusion take over especially within this PHYSICAL universe in which you can touch, smell, feel, see and so on.
It appear that there are so many different things but all this is an illusion.
In reality there is only one thing and that is the cosmic mind.
So how do you know what is reality and what is not?
You got the divine seed, you are God you are the moon and the sun and everything else.
The problem is how you realize this?
It require introspection, it require to allow to sprout your internal divine seed.
The method is there for those who wish to know.
Unfortunately not many people want to know and instead rely on the whims of the mind.Angel

I'm sorry, your posts are coming through as bollocks. Check your connection and try posting again.

That is the furthest thing from a sound approach to determining truth from delusion possible. It offers no means to check signal to noise ratio and offers any schizophrenic licence to act on their perceived instructions simply because they sincerely believe them to be real. If that's the best you can offer, please don't post further. Your bollocks signal might interfere with LionIRC's answering the damn question from the available options.

Yeah, that's the only crayon in his toolkit, I'm afraid.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

The problem with those that confuse the brain with the mind and think that the mind is the real I is that they have no idea how the system works.
In this way they can not distinguish between reality and hallucination.
DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE? Thinking

Abuse is when someone deliberately causes unnecessary harm. I am applying accurate taxonomy. You already know how little I think of you, so this can't come as any great surprise and cause you much mental anxiety. If you want me to think of you as something other than childish, answer the questions put to you sincerely and without wasting time. I first put this question to you three years ago. This is the fourth time round the carousel, and still you can't just up and answer when requested.
Calling you childish is not ad-hom, because I'm not using that as part of my argument. It's just an apt label for you.
