You have this great university education and such a wide breadth of knowledge, so take on one dumb atheist in the debate area. Esquilax, as you have pointed out, isn't very smart, so you should be able to wipe the floor with him. Right?

Hell yeah! It's money-where-your-mouth-is time. Big Grin

I don't know, dude. This guy is in his sophomore year at a GREAT university, which teaches etiquette. He knows all about the GREATEST THINKERS EVER. He's got the bible. And we all know how uneducated you are. Shouldn't you be quaking in your boots?

I am, actually, since I have to acknowledge god and believe in him to not believe in him. And this guy's got the bible, which can be used to prove the bible! How will I ever win? Confused Fall

My guess is that he attends either Bob Jones or Liberty.

Wow, there are altogether too many institutes for creationists to avoid working to get degrees... Undecided

I just thought of a mountain in the Rockies made of chocolate ice cream and covered with whipped cream.
So therefore it exists, right?

If you say it doesn't, why do you deny its existence when you just thought if it from reading that sentence?

Unfortunately this mountain does exist. It's where the Mormon's keep their geneology database used to track posthumous baptisms.

Yay! An Esquilax duel!
I bet the other theists are like, "debate with Esquilax? Duuuuudddeeee Don't Do ittttt!"
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Mademoiselle, s'il vous plaît! :p
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
