Whatever you say chief.
Makes me wonder why you had to pull out from a civil-war torn Vietnam and are pulling out from a similarly fractured Afghanistan.

I never made such a claim. He came up with "We can kick your ass". What was the response he wanted, I wonder?

Yeah, that was a statement of fact. It's a petty, bombastic, childish and generally wanky sort of fact to wave about, but the fact is the USA has enough firepower to destroy any country in the world. As indeed does the UK, Russia, China etc etc.

Well, how do you destroy a country? You can fling nukes, sure. If that's how it works, why really bother? The one with the more nukes will win, eventually.

As for anything else, like air forces and etc, it takes more than just air forces to defeat a country, let alone destroy it. America's position in the world makes it hard for them to continue a war overseas for too long. You need a steady supply line, and factories. And you need a steady supply of men. You need to land your forces, you need to bring your tanks, artillery and etc. For example, you can do this to Iraq, you have a NATO member right next to it(not to mention Israel) You can do it to Afghanistan, torn by civil war.
But I don't think that America can win a war against say, Iran, let alone Turkey. I'm sure that they will destroy a few cities, I'm sure that thousands will die, but eventually the USA will probably get too strained and pull out.
Who will be victorious? Iran. Not even a single shell will land on American soil, but in all, the US cannot really go on to invade anywhere. Invasions are serious business. We don't live in times of conquest anymore.

But if you mean by "destroying" like throwing a billion nukes, yeah, the US can hit many targets around the earth by the simple push of a button. But then again, one would ask "why don't you". And once a country develops an adequate missile defense system, even those won't work.
War is a messy thing, and I personally think that Americans are too comfortable in their continent(and they are devoid of a real, national purpose). I don't think that they have the morale or even the said firepower to strike at a real target(overseas, of course. I'm sure that they can demonstrate their firepower throughout their American continent).

Then why did they have Dragunovs?

IDF uses HTR 2000's, IMI Galatzs mostly.

More likely Russian special forces.

hmmm...why would IDF special forces be in the Ukraine, unless we're talking about two different things here.

I could say something relevant to this thread, but I think I would prefer to post this:
