Well, I'm going to have to disagree with that. At my school, the students are encouraged to think freely and express their opinions as long as it is not hate speech or evangelism. In fact, there are entire classes dedicated to debating hot topics, like Contemporary Moral Issues (a philosophy class). Every now and then, things get a little heated and a physical fight breaks out. I have never personally witnessed one, though.

I think that sounds more like high school than college. Maybe the difference here is in our age. I'm 23 and still in school. How old are you and how long ago were you in school?

Well, then do you actually go to college? Is it a private school? I imagine private schools would be more restrictive than public ones.

Well, that's probably because the cost of higher education is so outrageously high. Since employers are more and more frequently requiring college degrees even for entry-level jobs, something needs to be done about this.
