Maker sure you save some fava beans and a nice Chianti to accompany that.

I'm using enrico's definition of science, which is basically everything and anything. As you can see on the last page, enrico thinks a man pushing and pulling a trolly is science.

He's even got a 'science' for making shit up (namely 'intuitional science'), which he wrote about in detail on his padded cell walls.

He can't recite exactly what it is or how to

And if they did, do you honestly think the gas stations are going to fuel up those trucks for free? And if they did, do you honestly think the store owners are going to give away the food for free?

You remind me of something that was said years ago among friends.
At that time a particular bank look like it was going bust due to bad loans.
One naive guy said......oh that would be good so i don't have to pay back my debt with that bank.
An other guy look at him for few second and then said.........IDIOT.....don't you know that as soon as a business go broke a
receiver will take over and make sure that all the credit are collected?

That is how the system works and that is why all states and government have police and army so they can make sure that their system works for them.
In case of disaster as you point out many people will be shot well before they can knock down the system in place.
A revolution is quite possible and that system may collapse but at the end nobody really win so at this stage is pointless to speculate. Wink Shades

Considering your low level of consciousness i didn't expect that you come up with a better explanation of how the system works.
You first got to consider few points.
1) What it is the main driving force in humans?
It is to find limited or unlimited peace of mind and happiness or something else?
2) Can anybody be content with a limited degree of these things or not?
I never seen anybody who is content for ever with anything physical-material so my conclusion is that physical-material things can not give permanent happiness.
3) We may live longer due to physical science so we should be happy according to you.
Forget for a moment about maybe 80% of the total global population that
can not have access to this science so no matter what they will die early anyway and focus on the lucky 20% who can.
Are they more happy?
Some may be other will not be happy no matter what.
Peace of mind and happiness don't come easily.
It is like the money that you save.
If you save you will have if not you will be penniless.
You build up your happiness, nobody else can build it up for you nor physical science can
so the living longer has not really nothing to do with happiness.
Living without peace of mind and happiness is meaningless so if physical science can not add any bonus to my life why should i be happy about?
Again we are at square 0 where it is established that physical science is not able to improve our life that is why i tell you again not to confuse a
temporary bonus with a real and permanent addendum. Wink Shades

I know that you are always busy so it is quite understandable that you haven't always got the time to answer my queries.

these queries i humbly beg if i can put them to you again.
1) What is the inner meaning of philosophy?
2) What is the difference between religion and spirituality?
3) Is life finite or continue after physical death?
4) Now please do not get upset if i ask this question knowing your
position in society and your qualifications.

I didn't offer any explanation of how the system works. I don't know how you came to that. I simply asked you a question about the progression of science. One you completely ignored.

All of this is totally irrelevant to the progression of science. Are you trying to distract me from your lack of an answer by babbling incoherently?

Happiness is irrelevant to the progression of science.

Your entire response is completely irrelevant. You said that science isn't progressing. I pointed out all the fantastic things that science has done. You implied that you will only see science as progressing when it has eliminated death. I asked you to explain yourself. You have so far failed to do that. Please do that now. What will it take for you to think science is progressing? Eliminate death? Make people happy? What is it?

1) What is the inner meaning of philosophy?

What is the inner meaning? You mean: The meaning that you have given it and everyone else's definition is wrong. The definition from wikipedia says: Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.[1][2] Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument.[3] In more casual speech, by extension, "philosophy" can refer to "the most basic beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of an individual or group".[4]

(April 15, 2014 at 9:35 am)enrico Wrote: 2) What is the difference between religion and spirituality?

Religions involve worshipping a deity of some kind, usually involving reading some scripture or practicing some ritual regularly. Spirituality is different in that they don't have to worship anything. Both categories are overlapping and equally stupid.

(April 15, 2014 at 9:35 am)enrico Wrote: 3) Is life finite or continue after physical death?

We don't know. However, there is no evidence to suggest that a persons mind continues after their body dies.

I would first spray off the shit with a power hose or something like that, then retrieve the golden nugget, assuming it hasn't been claimed already of course. I would love to hear the point you're trying to make here.

Important issues?
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"Cannot have access to this science"

LOL, made me laugh out loud on the train, Rick.

Wait, what about intuitional science rick? Hasn't everyone got 'access' to that? Can you remember what that was mate? It was something you made up and then forgot how it works.

Much like when you said Dynamo was actually magical. Haha, shine on Rick, seriously. Comedy gold.

Not at all.
If you would remember the past posts you wouldn't ask me the same question again and again but here we are for more charity works. Smile
Science go forward all the time but also the human desire to get out the physical-material sewer go forward.
To be more precise the material-physical part is not even the driving force
for humans to discover more science but this is something that you will learn later on when you will get out the mental corral of dogmas.
Of course there is a progression in physical science.
It is like the school years.
In the beginning you will learn what your intellect can deal with and as your intellect grows there are more things to learn and discover.

Quote:Let me guess, you pulled those statistics out of your ass.

I understand that you never left your small village in England so you are not aware of what happen outside in the global world.
The reality however is that most of the people living in Africa, Asia, central and south America can not afford medical health, education and of course enough food without even mentioning the new technologies and these people make about 80% of the global population.

Quote:Happiness is irrelevant to the progression of science.

The search for happiness is the driving force behind new discoveries.
When you are completely happy you wouldn't have any reason to struggle.
I earlier point out that physical science can not bring permanent happiness
nevertheless most people keep on dreaming that this is the way to go to find happiness so the search for happiness is totally relevant for the progression of science.
Wrong again boy. Smile

Quote:You said that science isn't progressing.

I wonder when you ever understand what people are saying.
I instead said that physical science can not help to get people out the sewer therefore can only be regarded as an help to stay afloat.
In physical science there is no addendum ( add 1 to 0 = 1 this is an addendum while -1 + 1 = 0 does not add anything to you therefore it is only an help to stay afloat).
Let me explain in a different way so your limited intellect MAY understand.
Suppose you get sick.
In this case you loose your health.
Now Mr. PhysicalScience come to your help and cure you.
Is this an addendum to your normal status?
Of course not because by healing you you go back to your normal status
of health.
Physical science would help you to progress if would be able to make a super man out of a normal man but this never happen.

As i just said above the lack of happiness is the driving force behind the search for new discoveries (science).
However it is an illusion to think that physical science can lead to progress.
Continuous births and death can only be stopped by spiritual progress not by physical science therefore this science can not bring real progress. Cool Shades
