In thirty years he is going to look in the mirror and think
"Why did I think that was a good idea?"
If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

Nice. I hope that is what it really means. A tattooist I know says that most tattoos of Chinese characters do not mean what the person getting the tattoo thinks it means. At any rate, I like it.
Most of mine are fantasy related. Castles, dragons, wizards... But I have been considering something that expresses my atheism in a subtle way. I just can't decide what image to use for that. I'll have to post some pics of my ink eventually.

I'll only be getting a Buffy logo tattoo somewhere. That is the only tattoo needed.
I am amused by individuals that get tattoos on a whim, whether it be a cultural fad like 2girls1cup, soon-to-be irrelevant celebrities, or comedic tattoos that will not work in old age, I find it highly interesting that people have the clear lack of forethought. A tattoo should be well thought out and something that is personal to you, or at least something you know you will not regret later in life. This goes especially for love tattoos. Just because you're in love now, doesn't mean you will in a 3 months, 3 years, or even 3 minutes.

That's a great tattoo for Halloween. However, the other 364 days of the year....

This reminds me of a story I read somewhere. A woman wanted a shirt made up with Chinese characters on it. She found some characters she liked and had a shirt made with them imprinted on it. One day she was at a party when a Chinese man approached and asked where she got the shirt. She replied that she had it made. The man then asked where she got the Chinese characters. The woman said she found them on a menu at a Chinese restaurant. The man replied, "Oh. That it explains it." The woman was confused and asked what he meant. The man said, "Do you know what the characters mean?" Sheepishly, the woman confessed that she had no idea. She then asked the man what they meant. The man smiled and said, "Cheap but good."

Hey,
Eilo, I like the Join, or Die one. The one you have is a little dark, and then the other is a snake eating it's own tail. Why the evil symbolism? Colonial Americana, ah. I would get a depiction of Live Free or Die, but the Join, or Die is powerful as well.
