Mickiel,

Whilst I understand your sentiment you need to remember that this is the internet and the subjects we are talking about are very emotive.

We allow freedom of speech on this forum (unless it violates one of our rules) and the freedom to swear and curse is apart of that (again, unless it violates the rules).

Please bear this in mind when posting.

Is it against the rules for me not to like cursing?

Of course it isn't. Nor is it against the rules to curse.

If it's your expectation that others not curse in threads you might read or participate you, well, I suspect you're going to be pretty fucking disappointed.

Nope. You are free to not like cursing.

As for myself, I don't like fucking broccoli. Smells fucking repulsive. Truly if Satan had a state vegetable, it would be broccoli.

Mickiel, you seem like a decent enough fellow, albeit ignorant and uninformed on topics you wish to discuss. You are way off base on your understanding of current cosmology and evolution. Way.

It is somewhat of a truism here, that those who complain about cursing, get lots of cursing in return. No doubt it's the devil's point of entry into our atheistic innards and we can't help it! Fuck! Shit! GodDAMNit! See? Like that. Fucking Devil!

One suggestion would be, take a look at some of those logical fallacy definitions, understand why they are bad to use, work on avoiding using them, study some of the science you seem interested in, and open your mind. A thicker skin on the cursing would help too.

You won't get very far using God of the Gaps and other arguments from ignorance. Been there, seen that, pissed on the god argument.

Fair enough ; if you can curse, then I can tell you about not liking it and why.

I see nothing better to place in the gaps, but god. So I stick with that for now. And I am not trying to " get anywhere here", only communicating with those who many don't want to.

Because I like doing that. And I have not complained about cursing, I just don't like it; kind of like bad breath to me. Its just a small irritation.

Look, that's fine, but now that you've complained about literally a dozen times - you've lost all credibility. Additionally, your continuous complaints have become downright rude because you expect everyone around you to cater to your sensibilities. Reminds me of a typical christian quite frankly.
"Do it my way. Do it my way. You're wrong. Do it my way. I'm offended. Do it my way. You're rude. I don't like swearing. Do it my way. Talk like me. I don't swear, you shouldn't either. I feel this way - I feel that way. Do it my way."

We got it already ... You don't like cussing! Get over it and stop annoying the shit out of everyone with your incessant whining. This is our house.

I'd like to point out as well that just because you're offended by swear words doesn't mean you're excused from responding to the points raised by those who do choose to swear. Especially if you're making claims. If you consistently ignore people who are asking you to provide evidence for the bullshit you spout then don't be surprised if you're in violation of rule 1. Don't want that to happen? You have two choices. Back up what you're saying and engage and discuss with people (even though you might not like their language), or choice number 2 (my favourite) stop making bollocks claims without evidence.

Nobody is expected to respond to every post. Don't think that's what I'm saying either, but generally if someone asks you to back up what you're saying and you whine "I don't like swearing", in effect dodging their request, frankly you're being an evasive douche who only gives off the impression of someone who is here to preach.

I admire your restraint regarding cursing. Now, would you please exercise that same restraint regarding your vomiting of "evidence" all over the forum. At least until you actually google what evidence really is.

I agree with you and will not mention the cursing again, my point was made.

There is even a church that calls itself " Christian science";, interesting meld;

More a case of mistaken identity than meld. There is nothing scientific in Christian Science and cannot be construed as a mixture of Christianity and science. Christian Science is a misnomer.
