I think you need to catch up with the times, pharmaceuticals regularly visit clinics to tell the doctors about the new drugs, they sometimes put on a food spread, the doctors only know what their told, they even give the doctors little gifts, and maybe a holiday in some cases, I know this because I have friends who are doctors.

Actually, that practice is pretty much done due to self-regulation by pharmaceutical companies.

My sister was a pharmaceutical rep for one of the largest pharma companies in the world,and she told me about it.
