That has always worked as an explanation in the past. So, you have this explanation that you use as the end of all explanations. Whenever you come against your ignorance, you can use it to explain unknowns. Congratulations! You have taken your ignorance, put it on a pedestal and labeled it "God". That may work for you. But the portion of humanity that wants to find out the real answers would rather say "we don't know" and keep looking. You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. |
