Well who knows. You haven't really provided enough details about the characteristics of this God. One thing that would be pretty certain, we would know for sure that he existed because he would actively interact with the world or at least let us know 'hey, I'm up here'

Would this be a benign god, and indifferent one, or an evil one? Would it be an all powerful creator, or something less than that? Would that god be particularly interested in humans?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
