God and Jesus were always around when I was growing up. I stopped being overtly religious around the age of 18 and can't say I've ever regretted it. I attended a Methodist university but the atmosphere was not an oppressive one and I genuinely enjoyed my time there. I won't go into too much detail but fast forward several years to the present and I again find myself thinking about God, religion and spirituality again. I hope I can get answers here.
Welcome Shinagami,
Clear thinking is welcome here. Some may bash your conclusions, but most are respectful doing it.

Nonetheless, meditation can be an effective tool for anxiety. Yes, many times meditation may have to be supplemented with something else, but it is recognized as an effective tool against anxiety.

I have struggled with that, too. Do you see a psychiatrist? Have you taken medication? The meds they prescribe, benzodiazepines, are highly effective, but they are also highly addicting. It was my experience that if the anxiety is bad enough, however, the addiction is well worth dealing with if it helps take the edge off of your anxiety.
Regardless, you should see a professional, if you already haven't, and look at what your options are.

Perhaps you should consider that, in regards to another eternal life, Those foolish enough to think for themselves are just not fond of the idea. Consider that how good is your heaven without the hability to care for those that you left behind. And there is such beliefs, these days. They dont even think about it, they just buy it.

Erm, that was supposed to be my point, but I guess I wasn't clear enough. I meant that one shouldn't get too upset or think that one is doing it wrong if methods such as meditation don't suffice, because that can easily be the case.

You have to hot link it. The best way is to use an image hosting site like Photo Bucket.
