Actually, 95% of all Swedes speak perfect English. So no worries over having to learn their language.
I did some studying over this since I do plan to go over there at some point.
It is required of Swedish students to pass English before they can graduate. So, no worries.
85% of the population non-religious. Also Sweden has had over 200 hundred years of peace. Doesn't get involved with wars, has a very low crime rate and has brilliant social equality.

How could of I had forgotten aboutz them?!
Sweden has some of the hottest girls around! My town does have a nasty reputation for having easy girls. Seriously, 2 out of 3 girls are either pregnant or already has kids. It's that bad. Many of them are under 20. Some under 16.
Though I live in a town loaded with sex left right and centre, I've only had a few sexual experiences. Hmpf....You'd think I'd have more. Been months since my last arse to the face thing.

You'd probably like Sweden more. 85% of their population is non-religious. I'd like to move to Sweden someday.
But England's good too. I'll prepare you a spot of tea on your arrival.
Unfortunately, I don't know Swedish, so England will have to do for the time being.

Well according to what people say when they learn my language (portuguese) is that you gain a significant control over most latin-based languages, spanish for example while the reverse is not true(i understand spanish almost perfectly the same can't be said of them understanding my language)
Anyway New zealand according to some people here is the atheist wet-dream so meh

It's settled. I'm moving to Sweden!

To be honest I'd say most of Central and Western Europe (also Australia and New Zealand yes) are good Atheist wet dreams, while some countries still may have a high proportion of the people who identify themselves as part of one of the religions due to their upbringing, I'd say the VAST majority don't follow it's teachings strictly, don't go to church and certainly don't spread the vile and disgusting messages via violence and force. I don't love everything about England but it's general lack of interest in religion is a great thing it's got going for it.

This has been on my mind recently, and I feel compelled to ask this: Are there any Spanish/Portuguese speaking countries that have significant non-religious populations? I'd love to be able to live in a Spanish/Portuguese speaking country once I finish university, so that's why I'm asking.

Well, both are catholic and no one pays that much attention any more. As long as you are old enough not to attract the attention of the priests it should be fine.

I don't think I'd catch the attention of the priests (other than my atheism) and I wouldn't attend Catholic mass anyway, so it's no big deal for me.
