Min, if you can't look at the screenshots and work it out...

BTW I've set the Aust. broadcast to record so in a couple of hours I can show you how it looks actually broadcast here too.

Esquilax said it exactly. WHY can we download the program in better quality from The Pirate Bay? Yes I showed you also the BBC iPlayer version, but to access that from Australia you need to get around the geo-block with a proxy or vpn - with TPB you need neither.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke

We get the same, low quality broadcasts from the US. We pay for the BBC programs to be created through our TV licence so it stands to reason we get it at the best quality.

Aractus, and since Channel 7 has exclusive right to the grand final, then the whole country can bathe in the glory of SD!
Foxtel has their HD cameras at the G but cannot use them!

I find that insulting.

VPN + BBC iPlayer

That's how we watched it last night anyway.

I wonder why the BBC is cracking down so hard on anything Dr Who related. I haven't seen them go commando whenever one of their other series got ripped.

Clearly, a better quality image is a perfect justification for piracy. Pardon me, now - I have to laugh til my gums bleed.

Hey, again: I will buy the blu-rays. They will get money out of me for their product, but in this case what we're talking about is the free broadcast, and in the case of the ABC, a free broadcast that's government-subsidized and not ad supported at all. What, exactly, would watching the broadcast version accomplish for the network?

Hell, I actually bought all my Doctor Who media from specific ABC branded shops, they got the maximum amount of money they could out of me for that, so why this arbitrary stickler need for me to also view the show on air through an inferior channel that provides no benefit to the network in the process?
