My bad, completely misread Jormungandr's post and said she was wrong when she wasn't.

RE: Blocking
I never block anyone, if what they post annoys me that much I simply respond or skip over it. I have blocked other people on say FB or Twitter, but because of spam and preaching. It takes a lot for me to block someone, I have never done that on this site, really see no point in it so far.

Blocking gets better in SF V, I'm told you can't win through chip damage anymore (except supers).

I find blocking very useful on here. It saves my eyes and brain from exploding on a regular basis.

RE: Blocking
There are times I wish I could block certain people. But, I've discovered that it's almost as easy to scroll past their posts.

Aside from that, no it doesn't block them in the shoutbox and doesn't hide their threads. It does hide their posts and prevents them from PMing you. It would be nice to have the other features, at least as an option.

RE: Blocking
I put that John guy on ignore for a while. It was nice to be able not to catch anything of what he said, so my blood pressure didn't go up. Scrolling past usually works, but some people are just completely reprehensible.

RE: Blocking
Wait. There is an ignore function? And why should you deprive yourself other people said?

In other news catcalls have been deemed a crime in Portugal. I should restrain myself.

RE: Blocking
The only person I ever put on ignore was psychoslice when he was intentionally flaming out.

But that was before I was staffenated.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
