Holy crap really? Look nobody is or should worship any human being. Friend and foe alike all die. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with fame, as long you aren't using your power to oppress others. And while it would be good to go after our flooded climate of mind rot media, there is nothing wrong with entertainment itself. All forms of art are extremely important to society.

Yes Glenn Frey was just a man. There certainly will be more musicians that wont get to where he got just as good as he was. But he got there, and people liked his music.

Ok, you either don't give a shit that Frey is dead (fair enough) or you think no one else should unless they personally knew the man (fuck you). It's not star worship or whatever you imagine it might be. A guy who wrote some songs that were a part of people's lives died, and he's being paid some small tribute. Somehow, I don't see that as my "fucking problem".

Would you feel better if we took up a collection? We could erect a Tomb of the Unknown Dude Who Died at 67. That would be nice. And the eulogies would be short and sweet.

Yep, we all die alone in the end. Death is the great leveler. Some people die famous; most don't; and it's not all fair. If that's your point, why bother pointing it out?
