It must be terrible living like that. You can't even call the cops. You couldn't hold any important political position.
Well there are people like myself that are sympathetic to your fears. I carry concealed so you won't have to feel fear if I'm around.
Why shouldn't we be concerned about having an armed person among us?

Why should you not be concerned about the presence of a person who has five fingers on each hand, is twice as big as you, and twice as trained in the martial arts?
When the US FF decided to make our government a republic and not a democracy, it was the awareness that there would always be people like you, and way too many who react with little or no rational, educated thought.

I don't need to hear about anybody's marital arts skills, thank you.

Guns are like email.
People trained in self defence are like written letters.

Well, fuck you - if you have the right to say any shit you want to here, then so do I.
IF you had to share a house with a dude who was twice as big as you, and a former Green Beret with PTSD, then perhaps you too would want to own a gun. You would then want to take it to the nearest shooting range and learn how to handle it as competently as possible, which is in fact possible, and this can be learned much quicker than the hand-to-hand skills which would disable a Green Beret. You see, guns aren't really the danger, and they cause far fewer deadly accidents than cars. They are popular because they are the equalizer for those who aren't the big, brawny military elites of this world, nor the big, brawny, and ruthless thugs who may show up at your door!

Speaking as a big, brawny (former) thug with a (former) propensity for violence, a firearm is unlikely to stop such a person, unless the gun holder is trained. Even training doesn't always guarantee success. You know how many soldiers in a platoon actually fire their weapons during a firefight? Six. More likely three - the rest freeze up.
I've been shot at twice in my life (never hit) and the fact that my opponent had a firearm didn't make the least bit of difference. Furthermore, the odds of my sharing a house with a Green Beret twice my size who has PTSD are so slim as to be laughable.
Stoopid fucking argument.

What made you think I care? Every post you've made in this thread shows how little you care about the facts.

Yep. I started my training in 1965 with a one-legged Marine who taught me to "take a beating and keep on ticking". During 20 years in the USN I was shot, blown up, beat down and generally abused. And I survived. I came to be known for teaching violence. Never needed a handgun.

And the Snuffaluffagus is concerned about that.
