What about a black woman, lesbian atheist president?

I'm bisexual, so I figure I meet lesbian criteria. Big Grin

But once again, silliness aside, the LGBT movement is far ahead of us so I think they would get there before us.

In general I think a white woman is next in line.

I suppose considering Obama's remarkable historic and unpredicted election then anythings possible. But then again the US is rabidly christian.

Yeah but a recent report shows that the next generation is more atheist than before. In 20 years these people will be running the country.

RE: American Presidents.
Its less religious over here than in America yes...

I just think its a pity that a lot of the Atheists are "atheist...but" types anyway....that don't believe in God but respect those who do and say things like "I wish *I* could believe that! But I can't!"....the condescending attitude of defending religion and being against those who don't....when not believing in God or being religious themselves!

"Well I myself don't personally need to believe in God...but you guys go ahead with that nonsense! Geez, I wish I could believe in that stuff but I guess I'm just not like that or perhaps I'm too intelligent...."

The kind of thing they wouldn't say out right but you could image they're thinking it....they obviously think religion is bullshit but they give it 'respect' and act like its not.

Can be pretty condescending I think. Luckily not all Atheists are like that Big Grin. Some of us are more honest to the religious of course, and don't on the one hand think its bullshit and on the other hand 'respect it' or at least 'show' it. If you know what I mean, get the gist of it anyway.

If you get my drift...

Me too. I hate religion itself but I have nothing against the religious in general...some I hate more than others...some are nice people just like everyone elseSmile Religion itself...sux though.

I also like some of the culture left behind...the religious buildings..some of them look nice and they are important historical landmarks...I also think the bible is still interesting as an important historical document...it changed history a lot.
Even though I do think the bible is a load of bollocks and also contains a load of horror in it.

I don't think I'm going to see it in my lifetime, BUT I do think that once our generation really takes over things will get better for atheists. In some states in America, you can't hold public office if your an atheist. I hope things like that change so people realize we are just people that don't believe in God. That's it.
