We should not be doing geoengineering using current technology and having current knowledge of the earth's climate systems. Who knows what possible consequences could emerge from the use of geoengineering. If say we try to fight global warming with geoengineering, we could trigger a new glacial period in the process.

A hypothetical for you Atman:
Assuming that global warming gets out of control and most species on earth were going to die, if there was only one way to prevent it and that involved dumping a huge amount of sulfur into the upper atmosphere which may or may not kill other species, would you be for it?
